Embedding Trauma-Informed, Relational Practice in Adoption and Fostering
We have extensive experience delivering Preparation Groups for prospective adopters and foster carers, as well as sessions in Therapeutic Parenting and Friends and Family Workshops. Caring for children who have experienced early adversity or disrupted attachments can be challenging, and we understand that every family and child is unique. Our specialist training and consultancy for foster carers, adoptive parents, kinship carers, and professionals focuses on attachment, developmental experiences, and trauma-informed, relational parenting approaches.
Our work equips carers and professionals with practical strategies to respond with empathy, consistency, and confidence, fostering environments where children feel safe, understood, and able to thrive. We also incorporate a relational, play-based approach, helping families build connection and support emotional regulation in everyday interactions.
Through reflective discussion, practical tools, and ongoing guidance, we help carers and professionals deepen understanding, strengthen empathy, and translate knowledge into everyday practice — supporting placement stability, resilience, and positive long-term outcomes for the children and young people in their care.
